SageGrove™ maps 89 human values to living organisms, giving you a language for what matters most. For yourself. For your relationships. For your team.
I picked up a values deck at my own crossroads. I sorted the cards. I named my values. And then I sat there, thinking: now what?
That’s the gap no one talks about. Knowing your values and knowing what to do with them are two completely different things.
I’m Petra Wilkes. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with three master’s degrees, a Navy veteran, a former public school teacher, a foster mom, and a PhD student researching how values influence decision-making. I’ve spent over a decade in the mental health field, working with individuals and couples in Southwest Florida.
I built SageGrove because I needed it. Not another list. Not another assessment that gets filed away. I needed a framework that showed me how my values actually function: which ones are foundational, which ones I’m still growing into, which ones guide me when nothing else will.
Every organism in SageGrove was chosen because its biological characteristics mirror how a specific value works in real life. A Stinging Nettle protects before it nourishes. That’s Safety. A Sunflower turns toward light and gives more than it keeps. That’s Appreciation. Eighty-nine values. Eighty-nine organisms. One ecosystem that mirrors yours.
SageGrove isn’t therapy. It’s a tool born from therapy, designed for anyone who wants clarity, connection, and confidence in their next decision.
Start by discovering what’s in your grove. Sort 89 values across four ecosystem layers to see which ones are foundational, which are growing, which are visible, and which are ready to bloom. This isn’t ranking. It’s recognizing.
Values don’t exist in isolation. They pull, push, and sometimes collide. SageGrove helps you see the patterns: where you’re thriving, where you’re overextending, and where something important has gone quiet.
With clarity comes confidence. Whether you’re choosing a partner, leading a team, navigating conflict, or making a life change, your values become a compass. Not a list you made once. A living system you return to.
SageGrove meets you where you are.
Know yourself. Choose better. Clarify your core values, understand your patterns, and make decisions that actually feel like yours.

Learn More →Most values exercises end where SageGrove begins.
Your values don’t rank neatly from one to ten. They exist in layers, like a forest. Some are deep roots. Some are reaching toward light. Some are wild, untamed, blooming in their own time. SageGrove maps all of it.
Each of the 89 values is paired with a living organism whose biological characteristics mirror how that value actually works. This isn’t decoration. It’s a way of understanding yourself through the oldest wisdom system on earth.
SageGrove includes SageDecisions™, a complementary methodology that takes you from “I know my values” to “I know what to do.” Tend. Balance. Decide.
SageGrove integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Ecological Systems Theory into an original approach called Ecological Humanism. But you don’t need to know any of that to use it. You just need to be willing to look.
Four layers. Ten categories. Eighty-nine values. Click any ring to explore.
How you move through the world. Your freedom, your rhythm, your joy.
How you see yourself. Your aspirations and what illuminates your path.
Your connections. How you relate, what you protect, where you belong.
Your foundation. What grounds you and what you’re growing toward.
SageGrove works because it meets people where they are. Here’s what participants say after experiencing their ecosystem for the first time.
“So this is if I had to pick a value, I wanted to work on the most, this would be my one, because I feel like because I seek this, I neglect this.”
“No one could have told me I was betraying myself like these values just did.”
“I didn’t realize my values were fighting each other.”
“This put words to something I’ve felt for years.”
“I finally know why that ‘good choice’ felt wrong.”
“I felt very connected and cared for.”
89 cards. 89 organisms. 10 categories. Four ecosystem layers. Everything you need to discover your values, understand your patterns, and make aligned decisions.
